Stacey Reinsma MSW, RSW

Clinician

Registered Social Worker; Psychotherapist

Education: Master of Social Work Degree

Registrations: Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW); Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW)

Stacey is a registered social worker who is passionate about listening and learning with people on their journeys towards wellness and recovery. She has over seven years experience working in mental heath, including over four years working at the Canadian Mental Health Association,  and has specialized experience working with eating disorders, as well as anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, self-worth, self-esteem, coping with life stressors. Sometimes life can have difficult situations, emotions, and situations where we just can't handle it all on our own. Having someone to lend a listening ear and offer some unbiased support and compassion can make all the difference in times like this. Stacey finds it most helpful to explore emotions and look at what they are telling, encourages clients to talk about shame (it’s ok if you cringe in response to that word), work to increase self-compassion and set goals that align with the work and personal betterment they want to do. She appreciates that opening up to someone new is a difficult thing to do and how important it is to build a comfortable rapport and relationship with your therapist, and her promise is to do her very best to facilitate this for clients.
